Pulsara HQ Sorting: New Patients Appear At Top
After some great customer feedback, we discovered that sorting patients by ETA in Pulsara HQ didn’t always work for providers trying to monitor and keep track of new patients. We added a new default sorting option to Pulsara HQ that sorts patients by creation time, which means that new patients always appear at the top of the list.
What's changing
- Pulsara HQ now defaults to a “Newest” sorting filter for viewing patients
- When this sorting option is selected, new patients appear at the top of the screen
What’s not changing
- ETA and Type sorting options are still available
Who’s impacted
- Anyone using Pulsara HQ
Why you’d use it
- The “Newest” sorting option provides an additional, more intuitive way to view incoming patients

Prompt to Set Trauma Level
We heard from many of our customers that when a new Trauma patient channel is activated, having the Trauma Level selected is an essential part of alerting the right teams at the right time, and should be required. At the same time, other customers have asked to keep the ability to start a Trauma case without selecting the Trauma Level. We’ve come up with a solution to fit both workflows!
What's changing
- When activating a Trauma case, providers who hit “Activate” without setting a Trauma Level will now see a prompt that says “Trauma Level hasn’t been set”
- The popup includes the option to “Set Trauma Level,” which automatically redirects to the appropriate screen, and “Activate Without Trauma Level,” which dismisses the prompt and activates the patient
- As part of this change, the ability to edit Trauma Level for active patient channels was added to HQ
Who’s impacted
- Anyone activating a Trauma patient channel
Why you’d use it
- Ensure Trauma Level is set as soon as possible to ensure the right team members are alerted for improved patient outcomes
