October Product Update
Update Summary:
Auto Update ETA and Set At Destination
What's changing
-
We added a new feature to automatically update ETA as patients are transported to a destination facility
-
When ETA is being automatically updated, At Destination time will be set automatically when a patient arrives at the transport destination
-
Timer panel improvements display more important information and allow stopping or starting automatic updating of ETA
-
This feature is available for Pulsara mobile for iOS and Android
EMS Users
-
After installing or upgrading to Pulsara Mobile version 64, users will be prompted to enable the new automatic update ETA feature when selecting a transport destination

NOTE: After the feature is used one time, the app will default to use the feature for patient transports going forward.
-
While transporting a patient, the ETA field displays “Auto-updating” and the ETA indicator in the timer panel field is surrounded by a green background. A new “Time Until Arrival” field automatically updates to count down to the calculated arrival time.

The app also shows that it is being used to auto update ETA in the Settings side menu

-
When auto update ETA is in use for a patient, it can be stopped via multiple methods at which time ETA can be updated manually.
-
Once EMS arrives at the destination, At Destination time is set automatically.

NOTE: In order for the Auto Update ETA feature to work, a new level of Location permission must be granted to Pulsara on your mobile device. This permission is used only when transporting a patient in Pulsara. The first time the feature is used, mobile users will be walked through the process of enabling this permission.
