Handling Screen Captures in Pulsara Mobile
Pulsara's platform ensures data security by avoiding permanent storage of information on mobile devices and using industry-leading encryption standards for data communication.
To minimize the risk of PHI (Protected Health Information) exposure, Pulsara tracks and manages screen captures of the Pulsara Mobile application as follows:
iOS Devices
If a user captures a screen capture on an iOS device, Pulsara displays the following warning:
"We detected that you performed a screen capture on your device. This has been logged for review."
This activity is recorded in both the user's activity log and the case log for the corresponding case if applicable.
Android Devices
When a screen capture is attempted on an Android device, the screen capture is automatically blacked out, preventing any information from being visible.
General Guidance
In both cases, users should be aware that the screen capture may still be saved locally on their device. Pulsara advises users to consult their organization's policies for guidance on handling such files.
